Flood Management

The EnviroCentre approach to flood risk management is to work with clients to ensure that solutions can be best developed to meet their needs. If necessary the level of assessment is also scaled to suit, ranging from initial appraisals to detailed hydrodynamic modelling.

Solutions developed by EnviroCentre are appropriate to the problems being faced.  This has involved preferential flooding and managed flood storage in fields for Aberdeenshire Council and alternative land use zoning within housing developments.

As an integrated environmental consultancy EnviroCentre is fully aware of environmental constraints including new and impending legislation. Training and awareness courses on topics including the Water Framework Directive have been provided by EnviroCentre.
