The EnviroCentre Waste and Resources team has developed and delivered a range of strategic national and international projects in recent years, in areas as diverse as sustainable construction, resource flow analysis, ecological footprinting and industrial ecology, recent projects include:-

The Demolition Protocol
A resource efficiency model linking specification and procurement of demolition material in new build construction; Ince Sustainable Resource Recovery Park (SRRP): the SRRP concept was developed by EnviroCentre, and incorporates traditional eco-industrial park design concepts within an intermodal transport context.

Resource Sustainable Communities (Planning for Resource Sustainable Communities)
This code of Practice was developed by EnviroCentre through the ICE and Biffaward and provides planning authorities and developers with guidance on how to incorporate waste management infrastructure in communities

Northern Limits: A Resource Flow Analysis and Ecological Footprint of Ireland
The Northern Limits project carried out the first Resource Flow Analysis and Ecological Footprint of Northern Ireland. Funded under the Biffaward Programme on Sustainable Resource Use, the project included modelling of sustainability scenarios in key areas including waste management, energy use and food consumption.

Sustainable Transport Resources and Waste (STRAW)
The STRAW Project is a combination of strategic 'Blue Sky' visioning with practical assessment of options for the intermodal transportation of waste, incorporating infrastructure modelling for waste management and reprocessing, the development of Case Studies based on sustainable Resource Recovery Parks and complementary planning guidance to aid decision makers.

Ince Sustainable Resource Recovery Park (SRRP)
The SRRP is currently being developed by Peel Holdings Ltd, on a site adjacent to the Manchester Ship Canal. The SRRP integrates traditional Eco-Industrial Park (EIP) design principles with multi-modal transport options.
