Coastal Erosion Protection Project: North Berwick Golf Club
A Stakeholder Information Day for EnviroCentre’s North Berwick Golf Club coastal erosion protection project was held at the New Clubhouse in North Berwick on 30 January 2018.
In addition to club members, East Lothian Council councillors and officers, North Berwick Community Council members and Scottish Natural Heritage officers attended presentations by EnviroCentre Chairman, Professor George Fleming, and Jake Stoyle of NAUE, regarding the project as a whole and the design of the proposed erosion protection measures, respectively.
EnviroCentre has provided engineering design and ornithological, ecological and water environment assessment services in support of the project and has also prepared a planning application and supporting Environmental Impact Assessment and submitted them to East Lothian Council. In addition, the project is mentioned in the latest edition of Bunkered golf magazine: http://www.bunkered.co.uk/golf-news/36-hole-future-of-famed-scottish-links-uncertain.
Please contact Neil Gordon for more information about the project and our coastal erosion protection measures capability.
